Nerea Ubieto (1984, based in Madrid) graduated in Art History, has a Master Degree in Art Market and higher studies in Curatorial Management and Art Criticism. Her final research project was focused on video art.

She has just finished the International Curatorial Program for Research that has taken place in Finland and Estonia. She is currently preparing an art show for the next edition of ARCO (Spanish Contemporary Art Fair) with artists from both countries; also works as a writer for Input Magazine and is developing her own artistic platform, The Art Link Maker.

 In February 2015 she received the Injuve Grant for Young Curators and curated the exhibition and activity program of “The ship of Theseus” in Sala Amadis.

In 2014 she curated Malleable borders in Telefónica Foundation and “In& Out/Up&Down” in the alternative space Salón.

In 2013 she was the coordinator of the photography section of the Contemporary Art Fair SUMMA, she curated the video art exhibition “Uneasy Pleasure” at Matadero Madrid and many shows in different private galleries.

 From 2009 to 2012 she worked for Blanca Berlin Gallery as a project coordinator and curator; and collaborated in parallel on several projects with the renowned curator Alejandro Castellote, for institutions like Cervantes Institute, La Fábrica or Mapfre Foundation.
